On my way home from work I had the windows down and the sunroof open and wouldn’t you know it, my hat flew off my head and out the window. So I decided the best course of action was to pull a U-turn and drive by at 50mph hanging out of my open door and snatch it up in an Indiana Jones-ish kind of way. Which I did. So far everyone I’ve told jut thinks I’m an idiot instead of an incredible badass.

I have no “world view”, only situational opinions. Blanketing the world with one “world view” is naive, one dimensional and dangerous. The only thing anyone can do is be nice, have fun, try to avoid dying for as long as possible, and take care of the earth so our kids can do the same. There is nothing else. There’s most likely no supernatural reward or punishment. No one is watching or guiding our thoughts and actions. We’re presently responsible for everything we do. We probably only get one chance at being a person and most people waste that chance on the assumption that this is just a prelude to an eternity of sentience all because of the attempts of bronze age goat herders trying explain their existence without science. That assumption, along with greed, is the root of all evil in the world. We have a way to really try and understand the real world now with science and the only forces that are driving against it are religion and greed, both of which will destroy humanity if they’re not eventually wiped out. This is not an invitation to debate.
